The World Artisan is a Fair Trade Shop and Gallery located in the Victorian village of Potsdam, NY. We are committed to offering exquisite, authentic items handcrafted both locally and internationally. Products include baskets, tea, jewelry, scarves, purses, statuary, stationery, handmade sheet paper, nativities and many other items. We also now carry artist supplies for Sumi-E, Chinese brush painting and Asian Calligraphy. We are expanding the business to include Fair Trade products from many regions around the world, New York State and impoverished communities right here in the USA.

We will continue to travel around the world in hopes of educating ourselves, supporting projects and purchasing beautiful items for our shop. Please contact us if you have a project, business or region you think we should know more about.

Our shop hours are Monday-Wednesday 10-5 and Thursday-Saturday from 10-6. At this time we do not have a web store.
